Fallen Pine

In the heart of the Alpine Forest is a massive tree that has fallen to the forest floor. While not too interesting despite its size, what makes it worthy of exploration is the fact one can enter the log through its now exposed roots. This log is full of things to explore, though it's also a place for refuge if a cat finds themselves caught in a storm or being chased by one of the many dangerous creatures that inhabit this land.

Cold Meadows

Located inside the Alpine Forest is a small clearing that's full of a variety of flowers, mainly lavender, making it quite the pretty location to visit. However, its an unusually cold part of their territory, chilling even the fluffiest cats to the bone. Its much more appealing to go during the day as this is when the sun shines upon the territory, warming the clearing and calling lots of prey out to graze.

Wolf's Den

This is a large hole in the ground that can be found in the Alpine Forest. While this is often proven to be false, many cats call this the 'Wolf's Den' due to its size and the lingering smell of canine that never seems to go away. Although it isn't anything special, it does provides the occasional escape from the cold and any storms. However, due to its lore, its mostly used by apprentices who dare each other to go into the 'wolf's den' and not get eaten.

Elk Rapids

A fast-moving river cut through the alpine forest, rapids that can catch any creature that moves too close to its quick waters. This territory is given this name because of the fact most elk cross this river to get to and from each of their grazing spots. A large log has fallen across this river, which is what most of them use to cross. Due to years of travel, it almost has a path premade into it. However, it's still possible for an uncautious cat to fall into the rapids.

Lush grove

Hidden in the forest lies a happy secret for Mountainclanners. For in the winter months, this secret grove stays warm and flowered. While some say it's "magic", the real reason is due to a thermal spring underneath of the small area. It also helps that this little grove is mostly enclosed by protective rock, letting in enough sunshine to give the plants life but keeping away the snow. Most of the herbs needed by medicine cats can be found here even in leaf-fall and leaf-bare.
